New Build Timeline Overview
Thank you for choosing ROC Home Pros for your new home build! This timeline provides an overview of the major steps in the construction process. While this is a rough estimate, we’ll refine it as we finalize plans and selections.
Finalizing Plans & Permitting (20 Days)
After finalizing your plans, we will submit them for permitting.
Site Preparation & Bidding (20 Days)
Once plans are approved, we will send them to subcontractors for bidding. You will select all finishes (tile, flooring, trim, lighting, appliances, cabinets, vanities, etc.). Land clearing and site preparation to follow. Custom truss and floor joist packages will be ordered (6-week lead time). Windows and exterior doors will also be ordered (up to 12 weeks).
Framing & Structural Work (30-45 Days)
After determining the foundation type (slab or basement), we will lay the foundation.
Mechanical Systems (30-45 Days)
Once the home is watertight (roof, windows, and doors installed), we will proceed with plumbing, electrical, and HVAC installations. The lighting design will be finalized.
Insulation & Drywall (30-40 Days)
All rough inspections, including framing, will be completed. Upon passing inspections, we will proceed with insulation, followed by the insulation inspection and drywall installation. Taping and painting will then be completed.
Exterior Completion (15 Days)
The exterior of your home (siding) will be completed before the interior finishes.
Interior Finishes (45-64 Days)
Choices made in finishes will significantly affect the timeline. White painted trim is faster than stained trim. Carpet and Luxury Vinyl Planks install quicker than hardwood or tile. Flooring, cabinets, countertops, and other interior elements will be installed.
Fixtures & Appliances Installation (5 Days)
After painting, floors, and trim work are completed, fixtures and appliances will be installed.
Final Inspections (10 Days)
The city will conduct inspections to ensure all work complies with building codes. Once approved, we will receive your Occupancy Certificate

Closing & Move-in
Congratulations! It’s time to enjoy your brand-new home.
