June Tip: Deep Clean Your Dryer Vent

A clogged dryer vent is a common fire hazard— and one that is easy to avoid. Cleaning it out not only keeps your home safe but can also improve your dryer’s efficiency and lower your energy bills.

Quick How-To:

1. Unplug the dryer and pull it away from the wall.
2. Disconnect the vent hose and vacuum out any lint or debris.
3. Check the exterior vent flap to make sure it's clear and opening properly.
4. Repeat this every 6–12 months.
